A new model in the Nohmad range allows workers to be identified with contactless MIFARE cards and other smart cards or tokens that meet ISO14443 operating in the 13.56MHz band – the most widely used contactless Standard in the world.
The Nohmad reads the unique Serial Number (UID) which means it can safely be used with cards from/for other applications, harnessing the multi-purpose nature of MIFARE technology.
The Nohmad also reads the Serial Number from tags built around the rapidly emerging NFC (Near Field Communications) technology. Being compatible with NFC IP-1 (ISO/IEC 18092), the Nohmad can be developed into a fully enabled NFC device, exploiting its read/write and peer to peer capabilities. Future enhancements could include configuring Nohmads, data sharing and diagnostic monitoring, all from an NFC enabled phone.
These advantages, along with its modest costs, make it an ideal device for industry sectors supplying low margin services across multiple sites that also require both accurate and immediate attendance records.
