A generic data capture terminal housed in a moulded, grey, high impact polystyrene case with a mild steel back plate and conduit box for ease of installation. The IP terminal has sixteen tactile illuminated keys. Every key is programmable and can be used for numeric entry, text entry and for selecting program functions. Four keys placed immediately beneath the display provide the user with a useful way of navigating around the display to select from menus, choose icons and scroll text.
A 160 x 80 pixel, high contrast graphics display provides options for showing clear information to the user. The IP terminal comes with 512K of battery backed RAM and 256K of FLASH. The standard communications interface is 10/100 BaseT Ethernet.
