The Network Interface Unit (NIU) converts host RS232 signals into the signals used on a FAMS network. The NIU is desk or
shelf mounted,measuring 55mm high by 215mm wide by 140mm deep.There are 2 LEDs mounted on the front panel; one denotes the
interface status and the other is lit if the interface is set for 2 wire communications. The NIU can run up to 30 terminals
at distances up to 5Km.
