FKS II
The Feedback SAP R/3T Interface
The FKS II toolset enables Feedback Data to integrate virtually any hardware device and software application to the SAP R/3T suite in
a flexible and easily modified user interface.
FKS II enables direct 'real time' integration using BAPI or file transfer with controlled population of the i-docs within SAP R/3T.
Data transfer can be achieved in either direction with uploading of validation routines from SAP R/3T into third party databases and
hardware devices and automated polling and collection of externally generated data.
With FKS II and Feedback Data, the full potential of your SAP R/3T implementation can be realised. FKS II allows integration with
SAP R/3T to the following devices and applications:
- Clocking terminals
- Palm Tops
- Handheld terminals - batch and radio
- Scanners
- Oracle based applications and databases
- SQL Server databases
- Access Control solutions
- Third Party Applications
- Network Security
- Web Browser
Example one
An aircraft parts manufacturer, and existing user of Feedback Data terminals for shop floor data collection and time and attendance,
replaced their software solution with the SAP R/3T Human Resource (HR) and Production Planning (PP) Business components.
Feedback Data installed FKS II and integrated the existing terminals to SAP R/3T. Although the HR interface used standard FKS II software,
in order to match the unique requirements of the manufacturing cycle, Feedback Data generated a tailored interactive solution for the PP
interface to collect data directly from digital weigh scales at various stages of the production process.
Now the customer can use SAP R/3T to produce production works orders that are downloaded to the FKS II software for validation purposes
with confirmed data then uploaded to SAP R/3T for further manipulation and reporting.
Example two
A retail clothing outlet with three stores required an automated stock cycle count, goods received and store transfer process.
A SAPT Provider hosted SAP R/3T and Feedback Data supplied handheld terminals, configured for the customers specific requirements,
to collect the data. FKS II was used to upload stock take, goods received and goods transfer data to the handheld terminals at each
store using the customers WAN. Off line validation was carried out on the handheld terminals and confirmed data was uploaded directly
to SAP R/3T using FKS II.
The customer now has a "real time" automated stock control system for their chain of stores that can be centrally administered
using SAP R/3T and FKS II.
